Beef and Potato Pie

























In a skillet, heat 1 teaspoon oil and brown ¼ kilo ground beef. Season with salt and pepper. Drain excess oil. Spread meat on an 8- or 9- inch pie plate. Top with 1 small pack frozen mixed vegetables and ¾ cup grated cheese. Set aside. Boil ¾ kilo potatoes until tender then peel and mash. Blend with enough cream or milk to make a smooth mixture. Season with some salt. Spread or pipe out over the pie plate to cover the top completely. Bake in a preheated 350˚ F oven just until mashed potatoes are lightly browned.


TIP: For a shortcut version, mix in the frozen vegetables with the ground beef before putting in the pie plate.
